my name is Dean Puller. I was born and raised in Gainesville
Florida. Growing up and fishing in the central Florida area
for the last 35 years has been a blast. My father got me
interested in bass fishing at an early age and those were
some of my most memorable times in my life fishing with him.
Florida offers some of the best big trophy bass fishing in
the world and I have been privileged to have the opportunity
to enjoy it for many years. In 1981 I moved from
Gainesville to the central Florida area to start a career as
a golf professional. I enjoyed this profession for just over
a decade but finally had to succumb to my true purpose in
life becoming a full time bass guide. I lived on the Conway
chain for eight years and found ways to catch fish there
that was very different from all the rest. These techniques
I used produced many 100 fish days over the years. In the
early years of the good ol boys guiding I needed to separate
myself from the pack. I thought that for what the clients
are paying for fishing they should get a first class
experience. I went and had a custom bass boat built and
got some of the best equipment money can buy. I always
guarantee my clients would catch fish. This guarantee was
no gimmick just a solid guarantee you would catch fish or
you wouldn't pay anything. Early on in my fishing career I
established a good working relationship as well as earned
the respect of my peers and local fisherman. This respect
helped me establish myself as one of the top area guides. I
only work with a couple of top guides in the central Florida
area.
 Some
guides this day and age will live in a totally different
area than the one you want to fish. They will tell you one
of there many guides they have will fish you. "Warning" be
very careful they are just trying to make a little money on
the side and farm you out to any one they can. This has been
an ever increasing problem in our business. They live in
south Florida and are getting you a guide in central or
north Florida.
I will always try and get you on my schedule to fish with
me and if I cant I will have you fish with a guide that I
have known in my area for over 10 years who offers the same
