Tohos hot
Yes the weather is getting cooler and the fishing is getting hotter. Yesterday I had an artificial trip with an old friend. We started out fishing the north end of the lake with no action. I then desided to move down and fish in the middle of the lake in 9 feet of water which is deep for Toho. We threw the june bug worm on the carolina rig as I figured the fish would be holding close to the bottom. Well the fish started biting and dident stop for three hours. We boated 34 fish missed 12 to 15 and landed a 7 pounder. I tried to fish a shiner for a short time but they dident seem interested. I feel the bite is only going to get better and we will see more and more big fish showing up. Lets go fishin

Toho Trophys biting
The fishing on Toho this past week has been great. Now with the water on lake Toho cooling down the bass are biting. The shiner fishing is catching the big fish. One of my clients this week on Lake Toho caught a 7 lbs and a 9 pound lunker then two days later we caught a 11 pound monster. After the water warms up and we sore mouth a bunch of the smaller fish the big ones get in on the feeding. I have noticed some guides saying they are using 10 to 12 dozen shiners a trip to catch 15 to 40 bass. Wow are they missing that many bites? We are using around 3 to 5 dozen shiners and catching 15 to 30 fish per trip. Some guide services feel the need to have multiple web sites that way they can hook you on one site if you dont like the other 4. Some web sites boast about having multiple guides working for them in many different areas. Why dont these guides have there own buisness? I can tell you some ran theres in the ground years ago by telling lies and cheating the clients. Just remember its your hard earned money and there are a lot of guides in the area choose your guide wisely. Give me a call and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Cooler weather heats up fishing
Now that the weather is cooling things down the fishing is getting hot. This time of year we start to see more and more schooling fish. The schoolers make for some exciting action as they will attack just about anything. Soft plastics and spoons are the trick to catching great numbers of fish with some big fish also showing up. This week we have caught 3 fish over 9lbs. If you are in the area or coming give me a call and set up your date to some great action. This action will keep getting better as the weather gets cooler.

High water on Toho
With all the rain we have had and cooler temperatures the fishing is getting hot. Running water has the fish feeding and feeding good. Any where there is moving water there is fish right now. In the last two weeks my clients are catching 40 to 70 fish a day. Some trips we are shiner fishing and some we are catching them on the artificials. For my clients who are able to cast well we are catching some really good fish on the carolina rig. The rattle trap is also catching fish but the soft plastics are catching the bigger ones. This week I had a dad and his 8 and 10 year olds fishing and we went through 6 doz. shiners in two hours. We had one fish after the other the whole time. The two kids did very well catching the fish all by them selves. If you are in the area give me a call and lets do some catchin.

Austins Baseball
This is just a update of my sons baseball journey for any of you who have a interest. Austin made the JV fall high school team. Austin was one of only 6 freshman to make the team. Austin had a great season playing outstanding defence and batting over 500. The team went 17 and 0 winning the championship game at the end. He will try out this January for the spring season. Austin will also tryout for the Orlando Scorpions this January. The Scorpions are one of the premier show case teams in the country. The schedule will start this summer after the high school season ends. I'll keep you informed on his progress.

Cold weather catching
In the last couple of weeks we have caught over 1500 fish. The best day being a 154 fish day. Some of our fishing has been on live bait and some on the artificial. Spoons, swim baits and soft plastics are catching them very good this time of year. With the water temps in the 50's the bass are chasing the shad and gorging them selves. If the fish are up we fish up if they are down deep we fish deep. On Wednesday of this week the fishing was so easy I was catching them 8 out of 10 casts. If you want to catch a bunch of fish nows the time to book a trip.

Cold weather fishing
Now that the water temps are getting in the freezing range the fishing is getting hot. We have seen some great fishing this week with the bait getting bunched up. The bass have started to school up and feed heavy on the slow moving shad in the lake. We have had some really good artificial days and some fantastic live bait days. On some days we are catching as many as 70 plus fish. The artificial bite has been on surface soft plastics to deep water jigging. If you like to catch lots of fish give me a call and lets get at em. Dress warm for the cold weather but be ready for the fishing to get hot.
